The Police Department will hold a drug take back program on Saturday, April 28th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hershey Public Library, 701 Cocoa Avenue.
In an effort to insure that trash containers arrive at all residences in a timely manner, only trash containers will be distributed to Wednesday, Thursday & Friday route customers the remainder of this week.  Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday route customers can expect to receive their recycling container early next week.  Until then you may continue to use the blue recycling bin.

Derry Township Kicks Off Stormwater Project

The hours of operation for the Hershey Public Library have changed, effective January 3, 2012, to the following:
Mon. - Thurs., 9:30 am to 8 pm; Friday - Sat., 9:30 am to 5; and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm

2012 Budget 

 

 

The Johathan Eshenour Memorial Trail is closed between Stoney Run and and Shank Park for safety issues.  Please do not use this area of the trail.  The macadam was washed away and needs to be replaced.

 

Settlement Occurs on the Hockersville Road Properties
The sale of the former municipal building and police department took place on November 17th.  The properties were sold to Springwood-FHP LP, of York, Pennsylvania  for $1.2 million.  The proceeds of the sale will be deposited in the township's reserve funds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
The Recycling Center is open Monday from 4-8,  Wednesday, from 4-8, Friday from 8-3 and and Saturday, 8 to 3, through October 27th, unless otherwise noted.
The spring Shred It Event will be held on May 12th and October 13th from 8-11. 4 bag/box limit.
Leaf Collection Schedule   Will collect until December 7th.

Yard Waste Collection
 Collection is made the week following the last Saturday of the month until the week of November 26th.
Grass clippings are collected with the regular trash, but can not be mixed with other yard waste.
