Motorists are encouraged to use Chocolate Ave or Hersheypark Drive as alternate routes. ATTENTION: DTMA has notified Derry Township regarding the construction of stormwater management facility improvements on Penn State Health and Penn State University property at Sand Hill Road and Forest Avenue, which has begun and will continue until the week of May 6th, weather permitting. Construction will be confined to the designated open space area shown on the map. While Sand Hill Road and the adjacent pedestrian/bike path will remain open, heavy construction vehicles will intermittently access the work area from Sand Hill Road, potentially causing brief stops for traffic. Firstly, starting midweek on April 22, 2024, and running until the mid-summer season, PA American Water will commence replacing water lines along Governor Road, from Fishburn Road east toward Cocoa Avenue, in preparation for PennDOT’s upcoming paving project.
