UPCOMING 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆: 𝑹𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒅𝒔Construction of a new roundabout at the Homestead and Bachmanville Roads intersection has begun. Travel in the area will remain open, though flaggers on site will manage occasional traffic control. SINKHOLE UPDATE: We want to inform residents that the sinkhole reported at 246 Jacobs Creek Drive will undergo repairs on Monday, May 20, 2024. The Derry Township Public Work collaborated with DTMA. It determined that the potential depression on the other side of Jacobs Creek Drive was unaffected and that the depression would undergo repairs, as well, on Monday, May 20. SINKHOLE UPDATE: A sinkhole has been reported at 246 Jacobs Creek Drive. PA One has been notified to check underground utilities for proper authorization. PA American Water has been informed that the sinkhole is above the main and affects the residence’s water line. The plan of action will be to determine if there is a leak. If a leak is found, the Derry Township Public Works Department will repair it, and the expected completion date for repairs is Monday, May 20, 2024. Additionally, the Township has noted another potential leak and depression on the other side of Jacobs Creek Drive in a trench with a DTMA sewer line. DTMA has been notified. Residents are asked to stay safe and avoid the affected areas while we work on resolving these issues.
