At the Township of Derry Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Laura Burke, Executive Director of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross, presented Life-Saving Awards to Officers Anthony Bernardo and David Still for their heroic actions in October 2024. Lieutenant (Ret.) Timothy Roche was also honored with the American Red Cross' Instructor's Life Saving Award for his years of expert CPR and First Aid training to Derry Township Police officers. Michael Miller, a Township resident whose life was saved during the medical emergency, was present to personally thank the officers and the community for their quick response.
