At the Township of Derry Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Laura Burke, Executive Director of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross, presented Life-Saving Awards to Officers Anthony Bernardo and David Still for their heroic action in October 2024. Lieutenant (Ret.) Timothy Roche was also honored with the American Red Cross’ Instructor’s Life-Saving Award for his years of expert CPR and First Aid training to Derry Township Police officers. Michael Miller, a Township resident whose life was saved during the medical emergency, was present to personally thank the officers and the community for their quick response.
