NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Derry, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., in the meeting room of the Derry Township Municipal Complex, 600 Clearwater Road, Hershey, PA. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment regarding the proposed Township Official Map and the accompanying ordinance to add Chapter 126, entitled “Official Map”, to the Code of the Township of Derry, the purpose of which is implementing the goals and community vision set forth in the 2015 Township Comprehensive Plan and serving and promoting public safety, health, and the general welfare of the Township and its current and future residents; facilitating adequate provisions for public streets and related facilities; providing for recreational and open space needs of the Township; and protecting and enhancing natural and cultural resources for the Township. 

The proposed Township Official Map and accompanying ordinance may be viewed at the Derry Township Department of Community Development, 600 Clearwater Road, Hershey, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or online at www.derrytownship.org under ‘Proposed Township Official Map.’  All interested parties are invited to attend and comment on this matter.  If you are unable to attend this public hearing, written comments will be accepted by the Township but must be received prior to the public hearing.  If there are any questions or comments, please contact Brandon Williams, Assistant Director of Community Development, at 717-533-2057, Opt. 2, or brandonwilliams@derrytownship.org.
