The Board of Supervisors and Chair Natalie Nutt attended the Hershey Company’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new manufacturing plant on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Chair Nutt spoke about how the township and the community are proud to be intertwined with Hershey’s economic strength and philanthropic spirit, which has benefited us for over a century. As Nutt stated, “The building itself radiates Hershey pride – from the limestone that echoes the original factory to the iconic Hershey-bar-shaped panels on the faรงade.” She also noted the improvements to the township’s recreation trail network and commended the Hershey engineers for their proactive stormwater management efforts. The attendees had the honor of touring the new facility, where they gained a firsthand look at the innovative processes and the state-of-the-art equipment that define Hershey’s commitment to excellence. In closing, Chair Nutt, on behalf of the Board and residents, expressed gratitude to the Hershey Company for its continued investment, creation of new opportunities, and meaningful contribution to our community’s past, present, and future.
