ATTENTION: DTMA has notified Derry Township regarding the construction of stormwater management facility improvements on Penn State Health and Penn State University property at Sand Hill Road and Forest Avenue, which has begun and will continue until the week of May 6th, weather permitting. Construction will be confined to the designated open space area shown on the map. While Sand Hill Road and the adjacent pedestrian/bike path will remain open, heavy construction vehicles will intermittently access the work area from Sand Hill Road, potentially causing brief stops for traffic. ATTENTION: Residents, we want to inform you about two important road repair projects happening this week. Firstly, starting midweek on April 22, 2024, and running until the mid-summer season, PA American Water will commence replacing water lines along Governor Road, from Fishburn Road east toward Cocoa Avenue, in preparation for PennDOT’s upcoming paving project. We would like to bring to the community’s attention to a recent discovery regarding the second quarter billing for Waste Management. Upon thorough review, it has come to our attention that a billing error was identified by Derry Township, and we are actively collaborating with Waste Management to rectify the situation promptly. As some may recall, Derry Township communicated in December of 2023 that there would be a scheduled increase to $137.94 in Waste Management charges, effective April 1, 2024. However, upon reviewing the current billing statements provided by Waste Management, we have discovered an additional overage of $6.93. Please be assured that Waste Management is fully committed to addressing this issue as their top priority. They are diligently working to resolve it with utmost urgency. We kindly request your patience and understanding as Waste Management determines the most effective course of action to promptly handle this matter.
