We would like to bring to the community’s attention to a recent discovery regarding the second quarter billing for Waste Management. Upon thorough review, it has come to our attention that a billing error was identified by Derry Township, and we are actively collaborating with Waste Management to rectify the situation promptly. As some may recall, Derry Township communicated in December of 2023 that there would be a scheduled increase to $137.94 in Waste Management charges, effective April 1, 2024. However, upon reviewing the current billing statements provided by Waste Management, we have discovered an additional overage of $6.93. Please be assured that Waste Management is fully committed to addressing this issue as their top priority. They are diligently working to resolve it with utmost urgency. We kindly request your patience and understanding as Waste Management determines the most effective course of action to promptly handle this matter. IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Derry Township Police Department wanted to inform the Residents of the Village area of Hershey that they may see activity today, April 4, 2024, wherein students of a Crash Investigation Course will be at certain locations, measuring geometric aspects of roadways, intersections, curves, etc. Multiple locations are being used to conduct these measurements so that students can hone their skills in measuring and diagramming locations.
